XTU Enters Asia University Rankings 2017
The Times Higher Education (THE) recently published the Asia University Rankings 2017. Xiangtan University (XTU) was one of the three Hunan universities that entered the ranking, together with Hunan University and Central South University.
298 Asian universities were included in the list. Chinese Mainland and Japan, the highlights of this list, each has 53 universities listed. Peking University and Tsinghua University ranked the second and third. Tongji University and Suzhou University was respectively ranked 61st and 72nd on the list, and 10th and 11th out of the 53 listed universities in Chinese Mainland.
South Korea and Taiwan region respectively had 25 and 24 universities on the list, ranking the second and third.
The countries that have more than ten universities entering the list were India (22), Turkey (13), and Iran (11).
