Nowadays, she acts as Head of Department of Department of English & Creative Writing of Lancaster University. Professor Bushell has an impressive international research reputation. Most significant are the Cornel Edition of Wordsworth’s The Excursion and her monograph Text as Process. The Cornell Wordsworth is one of the great scholarly projects of the late Twentieth and early Twenty-First Centuries, and as a number of reviewers have concluded, Bushell’s edition is a fitting conclusion. Its publication has confirmed Bushell’s status as a world-leading editor, textual scholar and Wordsworthian.
